Hello. I am Rajendra Pokharel. Welcome to my personal homepage. Here you will find about me, my profession and hobbies.

First of all, a brief introduction of mine: I am from Nepal and now in the US working for my PhD in Physics. In Nepal, our home is Kathmandu, about a kilometer west of Tribhuvan International Airport. Our ancestor home was in in a place called Sawa (in Khotang district, the district of Mt. Everest), one of a few well known dwelling places of Pokharels mostly before eighties of twentieth century.

When I was about two year old , my parents moved to Udaypur and then to eastern Terai part of the country about a decade later. I have a rich childhood experience with nature of both hilly area and of the flat land of Terai. I started formal schools only in the fourth grade when we moved to Terai. I was home taught in Udaypur before that. My fourth grade was in Bhagawati High School in Inaruwa, Sunsari and then moved to a villege about 15 km east of Biratnagar, where I spent my fifth to seventh grades. Then I attended Janata High School in Biratnagar and took my SLC from there. For my college I went to Kalthmandu. I did my Masters in Physics from Tribhuvan University and taught at schools and colleges there before coming to the US. I did my MS from Bowling Green State University in Bowing Green, Ohio and now at Wayne State University waiting to finish my PhD. Subject of my research area is briefly mentioned in the section Physics
